Epilogue

Her small companion Summerwise by her side, Carmen continues to sail the seas with her ship (now renamed “The Red Dragon”) and keeps the oceans around the Sword Coast and Chult safe from pirates and sea monsters.

Many years pass before her debt is paid off, but once it’s done, rumours start to spread of a fierce Red Pirate Queen who hunts treasures and pirates in the Shining Sea. All this time she stays in close contact with her friend Owynn, occasionally ferrying him to where he needs to go or providing hidden knowledge of the many islands in the Sea of Swords which she knows like the back of her hand.

Over the years her crew grow to become her family, and with old age the tales grow quieter, until the Legend of the Red Pirate Queen becomes no more than a folk tale told in taverns and fishing villages along the coast.
